Groups visiting Hochsauerland:

February 2008- 6 members of the Balbardie Indoor Bowling Club visited Winterberg in the South of HSK where the Bob-bahn is a popular attraction.

March 2008- Linlithgow Reed Band visited HSK during the Easter weekend. The band played a formal concert in the Klosterkirche Oelinghausen and an informal parade to the Easter Bonfire in Herdringen. New links were developed with the local Herdringen Band.

May 2008- A week's private holiday involving members of the Twinning Association and friends stayed in Arnsberg old town and enjoyed several excursions.
- 32 young string musicians from West Lothian participated over the Pentecost weekend as guests of the HSK music school.

June 2008 - Murdoch Kennedy represented the Twinning Association at a conference in HSK on Education, Tourism and Twinning. [Please click here to see report] Since this involved him missing Linlithgow's annual Marches' Day, this was devotion above and beyond the call of duty!

July 2008- 14 West Lothian youths visited HSK as guests of the Jugendamt, staying in hostel accommodation.

May 2008- 30 members of the Fanfarenkorp, Neheim visited West Lothian as guests of Newlands Concert Brass, Bathgate.

July 2008- 15 youths from Schmallenberg visited West Lothian as guests of Greenburn Golf Club. As well as visiting several golf courses, the young people's programme also included an educational component, visiting several historic buildings.
